Introduction

Namaskar and welcome to the site for the "Ladakh Spiritual Adventure Tour"

History

No history yet, it's the first time :-) But it is started because many asked to organise a tour a bit shorter and during the main holidays for the Northern Hamisphere. So there it is a just below 3 week tour in August.

For whom is it

It's aimed at margiis in the age group of 18 to 48 but if you are older (or younger) and know you can adjust with the flow you are also welcome. It's not suitable for families but couples are welcome. You need to be able to communicate in basic English and to be reasonably fit to survive the trek.

Spirituality

While on tour, we meditate 2 or 3 times daily (or more if we like) We also visit many beautiful temples and sacret sites.

About your guides

Dada Krpasundarananda was born in the Netherlands, and worked in Ananda Marga for the last 22 years; in Europe, Australia , New Zealand, Africa and now in Mexico. He became a monk in 1991. He likes out doors and working with his hands.

He has guided the Winter India Tour for the last 15 years. Building domes and teaching about that is one of the other things he enjoys. You can see his travel log here. He is one of the organisers.

Didi Malati: originally from the UK has worked for long time in Baba's mission. In recent years she has dedicated herself to improve the situation of the Didis schools in India. They often don't even have the very basics.

She also loves trekking and has joined the 10 day Himalaya trek in Nepal for the last many, many years. Now she had the idea to do a trek to Ladakh (and maybe Tibet one day). She is a co-organiser of this tour.

Didi Ananda Nirupama: was born in the Philippines and has worked for the last 24 years in Ananda Marga. She ran schools, Master Units, Prachar programs, Retreats, LFT trainings and many many more things. Right now she is in the MU in Gympie, Australia.

She plays wonderful kiirtan and is a great cook. On the tour she will coordinate the cooking where we prepare our own meals and supervise the cooking staff during the trek (so we will indeed get satvik food)

Dada Subuddyananda: From Australia originally... He put the foundations of one of the best Jagrtiis in Suva Sector (some say the world) I (Dada Krpasundarananda) had the honor to help finish it :-) He has since worked in many countries in Berlin sector, currently he is the PRS and based in Norway. He is likely to come but not quite confirmed. He Loves wild country, kiirtan, jolly group meals and shooting creative photos.

About Ladakh...

Hard to say much... It will definitely be different than you expect... different than I expect...I have never been there either :-) So be prepared for all sorts of confrontations... Internally and externally... And a beautiful time.

Please do read everything on this site as its there to give you a good idea what the tour is about (and what not). If you have any questions please don't hesitate at all to write me or Malati. Do also write me if you like to receive the tours, low volume, mailing list. (See address link for e-mail address)

Identify yourself with Him and you will realise that even the minutest and tiniest objects are you. You are the Pacific Ocean. The universe, which is the manifestation of the Cosmic Energy, will appear as your own manifestation. The universe, which is the play of God also, gives Him ecstatic bliss. You meditate on Him and He meditates on you.
